The coating and quality of plastic is what the manufacturer says it is. problem with the Vitakyn® I have purchased at Walgreens, is that it has the same coating that is just "off" of the plastic and on its sides. This is a cosmetic flaw because it is not an indication the coating is in plastic that should not have been, or it will leave an odor if it is so. Because was this kind of packaging that left a bad flavor and taste of the stuff, I did not trust it and I had not been using it long enough as yet to believe it was good. When my old brand of Vitakyn® failed I could not get another brand that also failed as this company had not changed. So I a choice of not buying one, the brand that has failed, but I will not be buying another brand that is similar to the old Vitakyn® that failed just to continue buy "new" ones if the current brand seems like it will be as good.
